T’was a hot summer day in 1985. I was on summer vacation from my Engineering Science Curriculum and as a gift to my parents for their Wedding Anniversary my friend Robert Jacob and I offered to build them a new redwood deck (still in great condition 24 years later). Following this building event Wood Dreams Inc. was born, and the partners were Robert, Perry and Beverly Reinstein (my mom). |

When school resumed I switched to an Architecture and Construction curriculum and became the Lead Designer/Salesperson, while Robert ran the jobs and Beverly ran the books. Over the next ten years we moved on to larger and larger projects always doing jobs “outside the box” The main philosophy was to keep improving the methods of Design and Construction on our projects to give the customers the best possible jobs-period. Around this time Robert was no longer with the company and Beverly also had a limited role in Wood Dreams Inc. so after about 10,000 “wet dreams” jokes I decided to change its operating name to Perry Michael Designs. |

Most of our projects had moved on to Large Renovations, Kitchens and Bathrooms so the name was more appropriate. For the next 7-8 years we operated in the same manner doing great projects for great customers always staying ahead of the “innovative design” curve. |

In 2003 I was looking to open a retail showroom in Huntington, NY and after talking with investors and mentors I decided that we needed a more widespread name. This was the birth of Evolution Design Center and its divisions of Evo Construction, Evo Kitchen and Bath Co., Evo Commercial Division. |

To this day the company philosophies, integrity and commitment to superior design and workmanship (never one complaint-knock on wood) have always driven us in this competitive field to have more work than we need in any state of the economy. People in general always realize good work always costs less in the end and great design always keeps evolving and evolving and evolving- thus becoming “The EVOLUTION”. |
